My name is Alessio Curatolo I am a Visual Artist with over fifteen years of experience in Art Direction and 3D Motion Graphics Design, now crafting bold contemporary sculptures and installations.

My research begins with observing the social behaviors we absorb without noticing, and with the desire to understand how these automatisms can be unsettled. Many of the forms I create originate in a digital imaginary that I translate into physical presence.

I draw on processes and codes from industrial production to craft unique pieces, heightening the ambiguity between what appears mass-produced and what is irreducibly handmade. The works often resemble familiar objects associated with consumer culture, yet they are built by hand, with a level of attention that contradicts their apparent standardization.

This ambiguity is intentional. Through irony and subtle perceptual shifts, my practice aims to spark a sense of wonder, lower the viewer’s defenses, and open a space of complicity. It is in that moment, when the surface begins to crack, that the invisible network of conditioning shaping our idea of freedom becomes visible. My work does not offer solutions. It invites doubt.
